Festivities in NYC, Day #1

my list of happy things from yesterday..

• black olive scattered sourdough off NYC's farmers' market. just break it and eat it~
• Swarovski studded star atop the gorgeous X'mas tree at Rockerfeller Center
• the touristy NYC crowd made me feel at home, like I was in Mumbai
• a little boy learning to ice-skate, taking baby steps with hand tightly closed on his mother's arm
• the Lego store where li'l future architects were building our 'tomorrow'
• helping a lady at train station, which made her wonder "it's always a woman who offers to help, why?"

Pluses and Minuses..It's all about the math, honey!

Sigh! I learned (yet again) that life's all about pluses and minuses...

First, it was whether the signs of the coefficients in our regression equation should be pluses or minuses.

Next, I went to the Spirit of Giving Celebration for William and Mary which, was a big plus. Aww, I love Apple Cider!

But wait..now I have to read a 24-page case-study on Sony PlayStation (which I don't even like! definitely a minus) plus a 9-page article on the Five Minds of a Manager (WTH! another minus) plus a 24-page chapter on Path-Goal Theory of Leadership (OK, one more minus).

(+) + (+) + {(-) + (-) + (-)} = (-)

Now if I learnt any math in school, I know a minus plus a minus plus another minus definitely equals a minus (am I not a genius!). So this minus now negates my plus of going to the fun event!

You've got to be kidding me, I thought 'tis the season to be 'jolly'!

(alright, I apologize for venting publicly..)

P.S. I think this is a 'wicked' idea!! (Sorry, Matt :P)
